Luxury Lodges Reviews

Customer reviews that have been posted at reception or through the website!

We would like to thank you for the very pleasant stay we have had, the warm friendly people and the callow lodge. It was first class and we will come back next year. I will indeed recommend this place to anybody who wants a nice quiet place to stay. Oh, and the hot tub…what can I say, WOW! I’ll have that again! Thanks again to all who has been involved in our stay.

Wow, my partner and I recently stayed at Beaconsfield,in one of their Premier lodges. We booked a long weekend, and arrived on Friday afternoon,we were greeted at reception, by some very friendly staff, and recieved a complimentary bottle of wine, which of course tasted all the better (it does when it’s free!!)
We were directed to our lodge, and swiftly shown by staff how to operate the hot tub,and then left to relax.
We were keen to go and explore Shrewsbury on the Friday night, and again on Saturday,it’s well worth a visit (so many shops and pubs!)
Sat evening we dined in the onsite restaurant, excellent food, very friendly staff, good value and best of all, about a two minute walk from our lodge!
I have read some other reviews on here, and I think it’s narrow minded of people to not expect any guidelines, there is not a rulebook, it’s to make sure the next guest enjoys their weekend as much as we did!
We enjoyed our weekend so much,we have booked another weekend in September!

Stayed in a lodge here and it was beautiful. Yes there are a few signs asking you to respect the area, such as clean up after your dog and dont wear shoes on their almost white carpets. I personally think thats a good thing as I don;t want to see dog mess everywhere even though I’m a dog owner and at least the carpet is clean too and they provide slippers anyway. The lodge was clean, very comfortable and the view was amazing. The grass and site were kept spotless. Was amazed to find a dishwasher, washing machine, full kitchen, even 2 hairdryers in there so hardly needed to take anything. There was a tesco and morrisons close by so we filled up the fridge and didnt have to worry about anything. Visited Ironbridge approx 15 miles away and Welshpool too and even went on a barge. Shrewsbury is only a couple of miles away too. I’ve read the odd bad reviews on here which I totally disagree with and yes I can understand if you left the place in a mess you may have not had your desposit back. All they ask is you respect the place. As for anyone saying its pricey, its quite cheap really considering everything you get and we loved the hot tub too. In fact 4 of us was about £25 each per night. Loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Just got home from a short break at Beaconsfield, Arrived to a friendly warm welcome lodge was very nice, the flowers and wine left by the owners was a lovely touch,we had a problem with the heating, we called reception and with in 5-10 mins they were ther to fix it (thank you) we had a meal in the Bothy Sat evening? all what we expected, service, food and wine first class. I was a little unsure at first after reading some of the reviews but really dont know what people find to complain about, there are cheaper and lower standards out there! maybe they would be better going there so that there will be more vacancies at Beaconsfield for the people like us who appreciate the hard work that goes in to running a tight ship and a well one at that.
First time at Beaconsfield but will be sure to return soon.
Thank you all! for all your effort and making our break lovely

On arrival reception was very helpful. They escorted us to the lodge and showed us the hot tub and explained what was in the area to do.
The lodge itself was incredible. The rooms were very spacious. 2 double bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom. A huge lounge and a fully stocked kitchen.
A welcome note with a bottle of wine was a nice touch.
There was a widescreen TV with free view and a DVD player if needed.
There is a fishing lake which you can fish at for £5 a day. Just bring your own rods and bait.
Many ducks to be fed too!
I would return here tomorrow if I could. It was the most perfect relaxing break

What Our Clients Say...

Such a Lovely Place

"Thank you so much for all your support and kindness. So much appreciated especially by enabling the sale of my caravan to be so smooth and uncomplicated. I do hope that Russell's mother in law enjoys her purchase.

Your holiday park is such a lovely place and Ray and I have some wonderful memories of our time spent there. You have created such a special, peaceful and professionally run environment with warm and friendly family and staff who provide such excellent service. The added delights of a fantastic restaurant, swimming pool, fishing lake(especially loved by Ray!) etc. etc. make this a perfect park.

Whilst I feel unable to caravan any more, I have every intention of continuing to visit Beaconsfield in the future by booking into one of your lodges instead.

Warmest wishes - F.

Perfect Meal

"We ate in the restaurant on Friday evening and the chef and his team provided the BEST meal that we have had out for a long, long time. I must confess that I am very critical of restaurants that cut corner side,ie,cold plates, skimpy portions etc, but this meal was PERFECT. I am known within my family as only eating what I feel meets a standard. I was very pleased with my Black Pudding starter, the mustard sauce was brilliant! When our main courses arrived we were both impressed with the presentation and the quality of the food. The gammon was superb and my wife's chicken tikka was succulent and tasty. This team deserve all the praise that everybody was giving them and we look forward to our next meal." - Mike F.

"A last minute break and what a wonderful experience it was an immaculate lodge with first class facilities and the added bonus of a hot tub. I couldn't fault any part of our stay spotless, peaceful and have to say being 18+ only was a nice experience. I look forward to returning and would recommend highly..."

Beautiful well kept caravan site. Highly recommended

"Stayed on this site for a weekend break with my touring caravan. What a fabulous find. Will certainly be returning. It is immaculately maintained. A credit to the owners and staff . We had a swim in the indoor pool which was great too. The site is very pretty, lots of flowers and trees. The lake is beautiful too. You cannot hear any traffic noise, it's well away from any roads. Very peaceful. Not far from the park and ride into Shrewsbury..."

Relaxing mid week break

"Greeted by friendly staff, arrived at the spotless clean lodge, flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us!! Yes there are a few rules but this is how they maintain such a clean peaceful holiday park. Hot tub was a delight. The New Inn pub at the top of the road is a little dated but wonderful well priced food well worth a visit. Close by a carvery, Frankie's and Bennie's and a 24 hour Tesco. my husband also visited Total Angling to get his fishing bait which is near Tesco he really enjoyed the fishing and they are happy to agree a price for fishing every day. Looking to return for a December break.."
